The Ferry Inn Stokesby

You’ll feel right at home upon entering The Ferry Inn, Stokesby. We completed a full refurbishment in February 2009 and it’s been under new management since then. With bright and welcoming decor, you won’t want to leave!

The grounds are open and pleasant, with a children’s play area, round tables arranged around the yard for you to enjoy. There are 30 picnic tables outside as well as a small activity area for the young ones. The pub features a games room with a dart board, pool table, fruit machine, and quiz machine. A separate dining room is available during peak hours, which can also accommodate private parties of approximately 40 people.

Dogs and children are both welcome, but dogs must be well-mannered and on a leash when indoors. Children must be well-behaved, however.

Traditional ales are frequently rotated to provide different beers for the discerning beer drinker. Other popular brands include Fosters, Carlsberg and Kronenburg, John Smiths, Guinness (including extra cold) and for the cider lovers, Aspalls Suffolk cider. There is a wide variety of wines available by the glass or bottle, as well as all major spirits and liqueurs.

Our menu changes approximately every six months, but we have a special board that reflects seasonal and local dishes and ingredients which is updated monthly. Our food is classically delicious – some of our most popular items include fish & chips using fresh fish with batter made from Adnams beer as well as calves liver with creamy mashed potatoes & rich gravy. Other great dishes worth trying are crispy cantonese style beef or one of our many flavorful Indian curries. You can make reservations for either lunch or dinner service times.

Come join us at the pub every Sunday night at 8 p.m. for our quiz night! It’s only £1 per person to enter, and half of the proceeds go to supporting cancer research through The other half goes to the winning team, so come prepared to compete!
